Interior Design Trends 2015

A new year, a new view!

10 interior design trends that you can expect to see in 2015:
#1:  Gray is now the new neutral. Also notice deep blue hues becoming popular and Pantone’s 2015 color of the year, a reddish brown “Marsala”, showing up in everything from home accessories to fashion and makeup.

#2:  Black is making a dramatic statement in kitchen cabinetry, countertops, and painted window trim.

#3:  Kitchens that feature the open floor plan concept with the elimination of upper cabinetry or the introduction of open shelving, creating a more spacious and less top-heavy feel.  Kitchen islands raised up on legs suggest more of a furniture-style feature piece.

#4:  Statement ceilings in the form of architectural moldings, wallpaper, or accent color will encourage you to look up and take notice.

#9:  Bathrooms designed to look more relaxing and inviting with the addition of comfy lounge chairs and area rugs. Vanities will start to look more like dressers and furniture pieces than built-in cabinetry. Bigger walk-in showers with extravagant water controls and freestanding bath tubs encouraging lots of relaxation and rejuvenation.
